ESTABLISHED: When Authority Is Revealed

During last week’s ice storm, we gathered from our homes to hear a word about the kind of authority that doesn’t come from titles, training, or tradition — but from truth lived. In Matthew 7:28–29, the crowd was amazed by Jesus’ teaching, yet amazement alone didn’t change them. This message challenges us to move beyond admiration into obedience, to build lives anchored not just in principles but in the person of Christ Himself.
If storms reveal what we’ve built on, then this is a call to build wisely, stand firmly, and stay established.
